April 29, 2008 - Aldon, the leading provider of process-driven application lifecycle management, has announced Aldon Lifecycle Manager (Enterprise Edition) Version 5.3, the latest release of its software configuration and change management solution. Aldon Lifecycle Manager further automates and streamlines the management of software development processes to increase developer productivity, improve code quality and meet regulatory and best practices requirements. With the introduction of Aldon Lifecycle Manager 5.3, users enjoy powerful new search functionality, enhanced reporting, and accelerated performance, as well as other enhancements.

“This latest release of Aldon Lifecycle Manager represents Aldon’s focus on making software change management simple,” said Matt Scholl, President and COO of Aldon. “With the new search feature, you can more easily navigate through the critical components of an application. And the new reporting capability, dialogs, and performance enhancement help to automate otherwise tedious portions of the development process and ultimately improve product time to market.”

Key features and enhancements of Aldon Lifecycle Manager (Enterprise Edition) Version 5.3, include:

- New Search Feature Simplifies Navigation of Applications – An exciting new search capability gives developers an easy way to locate parts and package them into a discrete unit of work that can then be placed into a release. Users enjoy the flexibility to define the search using any search expression or wildcard term they wish.
- Improved Reporting – A concise new report has been added to the Populate Shadow Environment action. Developers can now see at a glance files that were not populated in a shadow environment. With this information at their fingertips, developers can quickly focus on the results of the operation and tend to any files that failed to populate.
- New Completion Dialogs to Speed up Routine Operations – New completion dialogs have been added to Aldon Lifecycle Manager to clarify when various operations have completed. This feature removes all ambiguity of task completion and greatly strengthens the user experience as users can now quickly and easily identify accepted files and proceed in a timely fashion when the operations have ended.
- Improved Access Times – This performance enhancement, while not visible, results in substantially improved access times when working with delta releases.
- Managing Objects through the GUI Accelerated – This is another performance enhancement with no visible change, but it makes working with a large number of managed objects through the GUI even faster.
- Compatibility with Microsoft Vista – Users can now use Microsoft Vista as a client with Aldon Lifecycle Manager
