HYPERTEC’S FIRESTORM EXTERNAL STORAGE UNITS NOW OFFER ENHANCED DATA PROTECTION WITH EMC RETROSPECT SOFTWARE

Specialist supplier Hypertec is today announcing that its Firestorm external storage units are now being supplied with award-winning EMC® Retrospect® Express backup and recovery software. The addition of this new software will provide proven data protection capabilities.

Hypertec’s Firestorm external hard drives are high performing units with stylish aluminium outer casings that are lightweight yet strong. The drives are available in 2.5” and 3.5” single or dual form factors from 80GB up to 2TB with a choice of USB 2.0 or eSATA connectivity.

Retrospect Express software delivers powerful yet easy-to-use data protection and its patented progressive backup means only new or edited data is added to the backup file, saving valuable time. It also performs accurate restores without bringing back unwanted files and folders that were previously deleted, renamed or moved.

Hypertec has developed the Firestorm range to provide flexible storage, high-speed back-up and total data protection. It is equally suited for use as individual high capacity storage, a disk backup device for a departmental server, a file transfer system, or as a cache to store a specific set of data. The units also incorporate government standard 256bit AES encryption software, ensuring your data is 100 per cent secure if it falls into the wrong hands.
