CEO Mark Chambers announced earlier this year that Ramesys, the UK ICT in Education & Transformation Services provider, had embarked on an ambitious 3 year growth plan, which it is now on plan to deliver.
With 85 per cent of its revenues coming from the Education market and in particular the Building Schools for the Future and Academies Programme, when most ICT companies take a summer break Ramesys is at its busiest getting schools ready for September openings.
“We are on track in 2009 for revenue growth of 27% and a further 35% in 2010”, said Mark Chambers. “We have already recruited 54 staff in 2009, growing headcount 20% to meet our summer demands and we will begin recruiting again later this year to meet the next set of delivery commitments from our £170M order book.”
Ramesys will commence new services in 16 schools and academies in September 2009 across the country from 24 scheduled in total this year. 45 more are already planned for 2010.
HR director, Fay Heathcote said: “Our summer delivery programme in 2009 is another step up for Ramesys, but we have been planning for this for the last nine months and we know it will build year on year too. Over 50 new staff have joined us since January 2009 as predicted, taking our total staff number up towards 300. We have been able to attract some very good people very efficiently on the back of our long term government funded contracts.
A well thought through induction and training programme has also been deployed as it is vital that all our staff champion our company values and objectives and understand the important role they have to play in delivering better educational outcomes for students.”
The number of students attending a school with a Ramesys BSF ICT managed service will rise to 18,590 by September 2009. Managed service director, Peter Duffell said: “Providing a quality service to a school for the first time as well as continuing to supply a good quality service to existing schools is always important to Ramesys. Everyone in the managed service team is looking forward to supporting a new wave of 21st century learners.”
