Taipei, Taiwan August 25, 2006 CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a world leader in digital home solutions, today released a free diagnostic tool for testing PC systems for Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD capabilities.
The software, called the CyberLink BD/HD DVD Advisor, analyzes system resources and rates them according to whether they can support the playback of next-generation Hollywood discs. Upgrade recommendations and troubleshooting support are provided if a PC system is unable to support Blu-ray Disc or HD DVD playback.
CyberLink BD/HD DVD Advisor analyzes the PC for capabilities of the following system components:
